Interlocking and Brick Work

- Outline areas and excavate approximately 12" of existing pavement, grass, dirt and disposed off site, and re grade sub base and compact to proper slopes and grades.

- Start the installation of the new sub base using 8" of new heavy duty sub base that will hold up to any traffic or weight, and compacted in stages, in order to prevent shifting or sinkage during the freeze and thaw cycles.

- Installing 6" of 2" crushed concrete and compacted in layers with state of the art heavy duty vibrating packers rollers, and place a geotex mesh membrane system on compacted sub base and nailed into ground. This will help stop from the sub base from taking in to much water, and wash away the compacted sands. This will also prevent from premature settlement and stop from weeds from coming through.

- Once the Geotex membrane is in place, we will then carefully place the final stage of the sub base installation with, 2" of pure lime stone screenings, and compacted to proper slopes and grades.

- Install steel pave edger's in order to prevent bricks from shifting during the freeze and thaw cycles. Also from cars or objects that are parked very close to the edge, which makes it weak under pressure. (Depending on the slopes and grades this is optional).

- Install (your choice of bricks) and install and set to desired design. Once all the bricks are in place, we supply and sweep brick joint sand into the gaps to an even flush grade. Adding more brick sand, and cover the brick surfaces, in order to protect it from the final compaction stage.

- Then with a heavy duty plate tamper, we carefully go over the surfaces, leaving no scuff mark, to proper grades and slopes.
